Creamed Dried Beef and Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) Pkg. Frozen Peas
  • 2 Tbs. Butter
  • 1/2 lb. Thinly-sliced Dried Beef
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1/3 Cup Flour
  • 4 Cups Milk
  • 1 Tbs. Salt
  • 3 Qt. Boiling Water
  • 8 oz. Egg Noodles

Step 1

Cook peas; mix with 2 tablespoons butter; set aside. Tear beef into shreds. In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup butter, add beef and cook over low heat for a few minutes. Remove from heat; blend in flour. Add milk; cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens slightly. Cook noodles 7-9 minutes. Drain; add peas; toss lightly. Arrange noodles around edge of serving dish. Pour creamed dried beef into center. Makes 6-8 servings.
