POTATO GRATIN WITH THYME

Ingredients

  • 6 cups thinly sliced peeled baking potatoes
  • 1 1/4 cups whipping cream
  • 1 1/4 cups homo milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp thyme, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine ingredients in large saucepan. Cover. Bring to boil over medium heat. Using slotted spoon, transfer potatoes to greased shallow 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Pour cream mixture over potatoes.

Cover with foil. Bake at 400F for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake until browned and bubbly, about 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
