This was mom's recipe. Adapted from Ladies Farm Journal. I believe originally called Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes.
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- dash of salt
- 6 medium yams, cooked and peeled
Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 90mins
Cook potatoes in boiling water until tender. When cool enough to handle peel with a butter knife.
Melt butter, stir in syrup, brown sugar and salt.
Cut potatoes in half lengthwise and place in a 13"X9" pan.
Pour syrup over and turn each once to coat with syrup.
Bake in 325 F oven for 1 hour 15 minutes, basting occationally.
