Ingredients

  • 5 cups Crispix Cereal
  • 1 cup Bugels
  • 1 cup Whole Blanched Almonds
  • 1 cup Pecans
  • Substitute Almonds and Pecans with Mini Pretzels and dry roasted peanuts
  • 6 tbsp Butter
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Put cereal, bugels, almonds and pecans in a large bowl. Stir gently.

Measure next 3 Ingredients into saucepan. Heat on medium and stir until mixture boils. Boil gently on medium low heat without stirring for 5 minutes.

Stir in Vanilla. Remove from heat. Pour hot syrup over cereal mixture.

Stir to coat. Transfer to greased cookie sheet. Bake for 1 hour in 250F oven, removing every 15 minutes to stir. Cool. Store in airtight container. Freezes well. Makes 8 cups of snack mixture.

For a well coated mixture, make 1 1/2 batches of syrup to 1 batch of dry ingredients. Enjoy!
