Mary's Fruit Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 lb butter
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 2 cans applesauce
• 4 cup flour
• 4 eggs
• 4 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. clover

Preparation

Step 1

blend butter and sugar until creamy. put applesauce in bowl add soda to it. add eggs to butter and sugar mixture. then add applesauce flour and spices to mixture and blend well.
add 2 1/2 cups nutmeg and 2 1/2 cups candied fruit, mix well. put in wax paper lined loaf pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour until done.
