Ingredients
- Meringue:
- 35-40 nilla wafers
- 5-6 bananas
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- dash salt
- 4 eggs, separated, at room temperature
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 jar (7 oz. jar) marshmallow cream
Preparation
Step 1
Combine 1/2 cup sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler. Stir in eggs yolks and milk; blend well. Cok, uncovered, over boiling water stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Spread small amount in bottom of 1 1/2 qt. casserole, cover with layer of nilla wafers, layer of bananas sliced or cut the long way and custard. Continue to layer ending with custard. Top with meringue.
Meringue:
3 egg white beaten until stiff peaks. Add 1/2 jar of marshmallow cream(7 oz. jar). Spread over banana pudding. Bake 350 degrees 10-12 minutes.
