Ingredients

    slices bread

  • 1

    egg

  • 1

    tablespoon milk

  • 1

    tablespoon maple syrup

  • 2

    shakes cinnamon

Directions

1. Remove the tray from the toaster oven. Cover the tray with foil and set it aside. 2. Preheat the toaster oven to medium broil. 3. On the cutting board, use the table knife to cut each slice of bread into 3 strips, or "fingers". Set aside. 4. Crack the egg into the bowl. Mix the egg well with the fork. 5. Add the milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon to the bowl. Mix well with the fork. 6. Dip each bread finger into the egg mixture, turning the bread fingers over to coat both sides completely. Put the bread fingers on the foil-covered toaster oven tray. (Remember to wash your hands when finished.) 7. Put on the oven mitts, and put the toaster oven tray back into the toaster oven. 8. Broil the French Fingers for 3 minutes. 9. Wearing the oven mitts, use the spatula to carefully turn over each bread finger. 10. Broil for another 3 minutes. Wearing the oven mitts, remove the tray from the toaster oven. Put it on top of the toaster oven or on the stove. (Be sure to turn off the toaster oven.) Let cool for 1 minute before serving.
