Ingredients
- ● 1 bx Rice Chex
- ● 1 10 oz bag of Kraft marshmallows (generic = Yuk:), NOT generic!
- ● 3/4 stick of butter (no margarine)
- ● 3/4 cup Butterscotch chips
- ● 1 heaping tablespoon of peanut butter
Preparation
Step 1
1. Have a large bowl containing the rice chex all ready to go.
2. Melt butter, marshmallows, chips, and peanut butter in a medium pan.
3. Pour the melted mixture over the rice chex, mix well (better hurry:)
4. Spray wax paper with cooking spray and spread the mixture out on it.
5. Enjoy ! It will begin to harden a bit. Put it in a covered bowl to store.
Here is how to do it in the microwave... with refrigerated butter.
1. 25 seconds on high to melt the butter a bit
2. Add marshmallows
3. 50 seconds on high with butter and marshmallows
4. Stir
5. 30 more seconds with butter and marshmallows
6. Then go to step 2 in above directions.
7. Stir and add butterscotch chips and peanut butter
8. Approx 30 more seconds on high or until everything is melted together.
9. Don't over-do the cooking/heating or the mixture will turn to concrete
10. Then go to step 3 in above directions.
