Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 whole eggs
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tblsp vinegar
- confectionary sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Add salt to eggs and beat until thick and lemon colored. Add sour cream, butter, and
vinegar and continue to beat. Fold in flour. knead until the dough blisters.
Roll out 1/4 inch thick, cut into strips 3-4 inches wide, 1 1/2 inches long. Fold each strip on half. snip 1/2 inch down at fold. Bring up one corner and out one end through slit.
melt 4 inches of oil in a heavy pan. Heat to 370. drop cookies into oil, a few at a time, fry until light brown. Lift out and drain.
cool
sprinkle with confectionary sugar.
makes about 2 dozen
