STEAK SALAD WITH BLUE CHEESE BUTTERMILK DRESSING

Got this from a Canadian Living Magazine... I love the Blue Cheese Dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb grilling steak
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1 head Boston or Bibb Lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced radishes
  • 1/2 cup halved grape tomatoes
  • 1 peeled avocado, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese
  • 3 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Dressing:

In food processor, puree together buttermilk, cheese, mayo, vinegar and mustard till smooth.

Season steak with salt and pepper. Grill and let stand for 10 minutes. Thinly slice.

Mix lettuce, radishes, tomatoes and avocado. Top with steak and dressing. Sprinkle with green onions.
