Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Coarse salt and pepper
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts(6-8oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 10 oz cremini mushrooms, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage plus more for garnish
- 1/2 cup sweet marsala
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- i tablespoon butter
Preparation
Step 1
1. Place flour in a shallow bowl;season with slat and pepper. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, shake off excess
2.In a large skillet,heat oil over medium heat, Add chicken and cook till golden on the outside and opaque throughout, 8-10 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm
3.Add the mushrooms, shallot, sage and 1/4 cup of water to skillet, season with salt and pepper. Cook, tossing frequently until mushrooms are tender, 3-5 minutes. remove from heat and stir in butter, season with salt and pepper.
4. Top chicken with mushroom sauce and garnish with sage
