FRUIT COCKTAIL BARS

Ingredients

• GLAZE:
• 2 eggs
• 14 ounces Fruit Cocktail & juice
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 cup brown sugar.
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts ( OPTIONAL )
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs and sugar together well. Add fruit and juice, stir to combine. Stir in flour, soda, salt and vanilla. Spread in greased 9 by 13 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts and brown sugar over batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until set. When bBring all the ingredients to a boil in a saucepan while stirring constantly. Pour over warm bars. Cool. Cut into squares.aked glaze as follows:
