Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds stewing beef
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 stalk parsley
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tsp. worcestershire
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- beef stock or hot water
- 2 onions
- 6 carrots
- 3 potatoes
Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat in oil; add seasonings. Add enough stock to cover meat. Cover and simmer until tender, adding extra liquid when necessary. Add vegetables about 40 minutes before serving.
Cooking time 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Remove parsley and bay leaf before serving.
