Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teas. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teas cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teas salt.
  • (Mix these together)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teas vanilla
  • (Add more milk if needed to get a more liquid consistency)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix ingredients in order, flour mixture last.

Refrigerate for 3 hours

Roll out little portions and put scraps back into refrigerator. Cut shapes with cookie cutters.

Bake at 325 for 12 minutes (until light brown on edges)
