Ingredients

  • 1/4

    cup butter, room temperature

  • 1

    8 oz package cream cheese, room temperature

  • 1

    egg yolk

  • 1

    teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1/2

    teaspoon grated lemon peel

  • 1

    box lemon cake mix

  • 1

    cup raisins, optional

  • 1/4

    cup shredded coconut

  • 1/4

    cup chopped walnuts

  • 1

    Tablespoon dried basil

Directions

Cream butter, cheese, egg yolk, lemon juice, and lemon peel, until well blended and fluffy. Blend in cake mix, 1/3 at a time. Mixing the last portion by hand. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by level tablespoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
