Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat ove to 350 degrees. Scald milk(heating till
foamy but not boilling) in a pan.
2. Meanwhile beat eggs very slightly, just until yolks and
whites are mixed but not foamy. Add sugar, sugar
salt and vanilla. Thoroughly stir scalded milk into egg
mixture.
3. Pour into ungreased custard xups. Set custard cups in
a baking pan with 1 inch of hot water in the bottom.
4. Bake 30-35 minutes. Custard should still be a tiny bit
shaky in the middle, but a knife inserted in the
center should come out clean. To cool quickly; set
the custard cups in cold water.
