Ingredients

  • 2 cans of Garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, about 2 lemons
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 6 tbs Tahini
  • Salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a food processor with a metal blade, process the garlic until it sticks to the side of the bowl. Scrape down the side of the food processor bowl.

2. Add chick peas and cumin, process into a course puree. Scrap down the mixture.

3. Combine olive oil and lemon juice and with processor running at it to the mixture. Add the tahini and process until smooth.

4. If the mixture is too thick, add water to the preferred consistency. Then add a generous pinch of salt.
