Ingredients
- Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Wet Ingredients:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting:
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- mini marshmellows (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry ingredients of cake in large bowl and then set aside. In saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Beat in buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour mixture in greased and floured 15 X 10 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes.
Frosting:
Heat butter, cocoa, and milk and bring to a boil. Pour over powdered sugar and mix well. Add in marshmellows, if desired. Spread frosting over hot cake.
