Blue Cheese, Peach, and Cinnamon Bacon Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 3 cups crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 packages of cream cheese
  • 2 sheets puff pastry dough (often sold in 17 or
  • 18-ounce packages containing 2 (9 or 10-inch) square sheets puff pastry
  • 4 pieces of cinnamon bacon (if you can’t find it, just add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and cinnamon to regular bacon)
  • 2 sprigs of green onion
  • 1 jar of chipotle peach preserves
  • 1 jar of Grey Poupon Country Dijon mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature. In a mixer blend the blue cheese and cream cheese on medium/high until it is light and fluffy.

Cook the bacon and set aside on a paper towel to cool. Chop in a food processor to create crumbles.

Unroll the dough and spread cheese mixture, a couple tablespoons of preserve and bacon crumbles. Beginning at a long side, roll up each rectangle. Press seams to seal. With a serrated knife cut each roll in 10 slices. Place, cut side down, on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 11 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. You can serve cool or warm with slivers of green onion.
