Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine softened
- 3/4 cup granualated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon sald
- 2 cups coursely chopped chocolate-
- covered English toffee bars

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth.
In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; stir until a soft dough forms. Stir in toffee pieces. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
