Ingredients

    cup butter or margarine softened

  • 3/4

    cup granualated sugar

  • 3/4

    cup firmly packed brown sugar

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 2 1/4

    cups all-purpose flour

  • 1

    teaspoon baking soda

  • 1

    teaspoon sald

    cups coursely chopped chocolate-

  • covered English toffee bars

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; stir until a soft dough forms. Stir in toffee pieces. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
