Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces (about 2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips

Step 1

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, with an electric mixer set on medium-high cream butter for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Add both sugars and beat well.
Step 5: Beat in vanilla extract, and each egg one at a time.
Step 6: Stir in peanut butter.
Step 7: Using a spoon, stir flour mixture into butter mixture until just combined.
Step 8: Stir in chocolate chips.
Step 9: Place 1/2 cup granulated sugar into small bowl. Form dough into 1-inch balls and then roll in sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheets.
Step 10: Bake for 8-10 minutes or until top just begins to brown. Let cookies set for 3 minutes before transferring to cooling surface.
