Ate these cookies at the Butcher Shop one evening. They were so good but a little costly. Went home and googeled it on line. They taste just like or better than the ones at the Butcher shop.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1-cup butter
  • 3 -eggs, beaten together
  • 1-tsp soda dissolved in hot water
  • 1 - pinch of salt
  • 1-tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 lb of raisins
  • 1 lb of nuts, chopped
  • 3-cup of flour

Step 1

Beat together sugar, butter and eggs. Add baking soda then add the others. Mix together. Add flour to obtain correct consistency. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 150 cookies depending on the size.
