Safflower Butter

Good with Cracked Wheat Bread, Herbed Biscuits, Herbed Muffins, and Whole Wheat Crescent Rolls (recipes in collection).


½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
cup safflower oil


Whip the butter until smooth and fluffy. Continue beating and gradually add the oil. Pour into a container, cover, and store in the refrigerator. Even when chilled, this butter will remain spreadable. Use it as an all-purpose spread and for sauteing.
