Since this is mainly about the sauce, you can substitute little smokies for a different flavor profile.

Ingredients

  • Kick it up a notch:
  • 3 -5 lbs frozen cooked small meatballs or Little Smokies sausages
  • 1 (32 ounce) jar grape jelly
  • 2 (12 ounce) jars chili sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pinch cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • Finely chop 2 Thai peppers (red are spicier)

Step 1

Option 1 * Oven or Stove Top Method
In a pot combine the grape jelly with the chili sauce; add in the meatballs and simmer for about 45 minutes uncovered or until the sauce has thickened. Or pre-heat oven to 350 degrees, bake covered 1 hour, uncover toss and bake 30 minutes.

Option 2 * Need to do other things today?
Crock Pot Method
Make early in the day thawed or homemade meatballs (use crock pot) toss all ingredients in and toss to coat the meatballs or Smokies sausages. Let cook slowly all day on medium. Frozen meatballs will work as well, you just need to leave them 6-8 hours perfect if you still have things to do. Set it and forget it.

Option 3 * In a hurry?
Pressure Cooker Method
Use your electric pressure cooker. Lock and Load ! Add all ingredients toss to coat. Cook under high pressure (according to your cookers directions) from frozen 40 minutes. Yummy!
