Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 lb. sweet Italian Sausage, casings removed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. dried Italian herb seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. onion salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 lb. ditalini pasta
  • 2 cans (19 oz. each) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Crumble sausage and cook until no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Add garlic and cook for a minute more. Add chicken broth, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, onion salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in pasta. Reduce heat and simmer until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally, about 10 - 11 minutes. Stir in beans and cook until heated through. Serve with grated cheese.
