Strawberry Margarita Jello Shot Cups

I serve these in mini cupcake or candy paper cups.
Ingredients
- 1 small pack Strawberry Jell-O,
- 3/4 hot water,
- 2 packs strawberries,
- 1 cup tequila,
- 3/4 cup Cointreau,
- sugar and lime for garnish
- mini cupcake papers

Step 1
Slice off the strawberry top. Cut a small straight piece off bottom of strawberry....just enough so that it can stand on its own. If you cut too far up, you will get a hole in the bottom once you begin scooping out an the jello will leak out.
Use a melon baller or small measuring spoon to scoop out the inside. ( I used a few different sizes based on the size of the berries). Try not to nick any of the outside walls. Stand up in a container.
Next, mix Jell-O with hot water, stir well to dissolve.
Add tequilia and cointreau.
Pour mixture into strawberries. (I used a tiny pitcher for better control)
Refrigerate for at least four hours before serving to allow proper setting.
Garnish the edges of the strawberries with lime juice and sugar, add a piece of lime for decoration on the edge of the strawberries. (optional)
