Ang's Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • Approx ¾ lb ground pork
  • At least 1 lb roughly chopped cooked shrimp
  • 1 diced red bell pepper
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 T minced ginger
  • 1T fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 T + 1 tsp grapeseed oil
  • 1, 8 oz can drained and diced water chestnuts
  • 2 scallions, sliced thinly
  • 2 T oyster sauce
  • chopped cilantro, to taste….1/4 cupish
  • iceberg or boston lettuce

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine ground pork, bell pepper, garlic, ginger, chili sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil and 1 T of the grapeseed oil.

2. Heat 1tsp grapeseed oil in a pan and add the pork mixture, stir-frying over high heat until cooked through. Add the water chestnuts, scallions, oyster sauce and cilantro and remove from the heat.

3. Spoon into bowls and serve with lettuce wraps.
