Homemade Powdered Laundry Soap

By

No reason to spend your money on laundry soap with lots of unnecessary filler. This recipe uses only three ingredients and only takes minutes if you use a food processor. The cost comes out to around $2.00 for 40 loads!

Preparation

Step 1

Grate the Fels-Naptha bar. Using the food processor is faster and easier, but the first time I made it I grated it by hand. When bar is grated, add the Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda and the 20 Mule Team Borax to the processor bowl.

Use the pulse setting until the yellow soap flakes are small and the product looks well mixed.

I found that mixing them all together in the food processor keeps the Fels-Naptha from melting in your processor.

Once the bar soap is in small pieces, you can set the processor to On, instead of pulse.

The fresh smell is wonderful.
