  • 5 eggs ) "A"
  • 11/2 cup brown sugar )
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk )
  • 5 drops vanilla extract )
  • 1/2 cup melted butter ) “B”
  • 1 tsp baking soda )
  • 2 cups flour ) “C”
  • 1 tbp baking powder )
  • Baking pan (10 5/8” x 12” x 2 3/8’)
  • 1 sheet plastic wrap (14 3/8 x 15 1/2)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat ingredients “A” until thick and cream colored, about 5 minutes.

2. Add combined ingredients “B” and beat for 1 minute.

3. Sift ingredients of “C” and fold into egg mixture to make the batter.

4. Line the baking pan with plastic wrap. Pour the batter into the lined pan and place it in a steamer. Steam for 30 minutes over high heat. Remove and allow to cool, slice and serve.
