Ingredients
- 2 cups unsalted butter softened
- 1 pound confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon meringue powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 tablespoons cream

Step 1
1. Cream butter for a few minutes in a mixer with the paddle attachment on medium speed. Add powdered sugar and cocoa. Turn your mixer on the lowest speed (so the dry ingredients don’t blow everywhere!), until the sugar and cocoa have been absorbed by the butter.
2. Increase mixer speed to medium and add salt, meringue powder, vanilla extract, and cream. Beat for three minutes. If your frosting needs a more stiff consistency, add a little more sugar. If your frosting needs to be thinned out, add additional cream -- 1 tablespoon at a time.
