This is a delicious treat, easy to make, but will still have your friends and family asking for more. I served these for dessert on Saturday night and they were a big hit with everyone! Taking some help from the store by using a dry cookie mix cuts down time, allowing you to make these in a pinch for company stopping by.
| 1 package dry chocolate chip cookie mix, mixed to package directions I believe the Betty Crocker brand calls for 1 egg and 1/2 cup softened butter | |
| 1 | cup macadamia nuts |
| 1 | cup shredded coconut |
| Softened butter, for pan |
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Add nuts and coconut to prepared cookie mix.
Butter a 9×12 baking pan and spread cookie mixture evenly in a thin layer.
Bake bars 20-22 minutes, until golden.
Remove from oven, cool, and cut into squares.
