Chocolate-Dipped Figs Finished with a Sprinkle of Sea Salt

- 2 ounces bittersweet baking chocolate, roughly chopped
- 12 dried Calimyrna figs
- Flaky sea salt, for dusting

Preparation
Step 1
Cover a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Set a metal bowl over a pot to create a double boiler. Add enough water to pot to reach just below bottom of bowl without touching and bring to a steady simmer. Place chocolate in bowl and stir until melted, about 5 minutes. (Alternatively, melt chocolate in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring mixture between each interval, until fully melted.)
Reshape any figs flattened in package. Dip rounded bottom of each fig in melted chocolate, then place on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle sea salt over chocolate-dipped ends of figs. Refrigerate until chocolate sets, 15 minutes. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
