Grilled Sausage with Onions and Italian Sweet Peppers PRINT
|2||yellow onions, thinly sliced|
|10||sweet Italian Peppers or 2 red peppers, thinly sliced|
|2||cloves of garlic, finely minced|
|2||tablespoons olive oil|
|kosher salt, to taste|
In a large trying pan gently heat the olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the onions, stir and low the heat to low. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring often. Add the peppers and garlic, stir, and continue to cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
Preheat your grill and cook the sausage, turning often to evenly brown. It will take between 10 – 15 minutes depending on how large your sausage are. Toast the buns on the grill. Add the sausage to the buns and top with the onion and peppers.
