Golden Caramel Popcorn PRINT
|2||cups brown sugar|
|½||teaspoon baking soda|
|1||teaspoon vanilla extract|

1.Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. 2.Pop popcorn and spread on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. 3.In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring 4 minutes. 4.Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla. 5.Pour over popcorn, stirring to coat. 6.Bake in preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes, for 30 min. Remove from oven and let cool completely before breaking into pieces. (If you like gooey popcorn balls, skip this step.)
If you go with the baked version, you can totally make this a day or two ahead of time.
