I was making a recipe for a Spring Risotto, and I realized that I did not have mascarpone cheese! I surfed the internet and found this substitute worked like a charm— at less than half the cost.
Ingredients
| 1 | (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
| ¼ | cup heavy whipping cream |
| 2½ | tablespoons sour cream |
Directions
Combine well and use in recipes calling for Mascarpone cheese.
NOTE: Do not substitute low fat cream cheese or sour cream!
