Mexican Seasoning Blend

Making your own Mexican seasoning blend is so simple and cost effective. I like to save empty spice bottles so that I can keep my own blend on hand to make fast tacos, fajitas, chili or as a Mexican flavored rub for chicken, pork or beef. What's ideal is that you control the sodium, by leaving it out of the spice blend. Season your dish, with salt, as needed or preferred.

2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons cayenne
