| ¼ | cup packed brown sugar |
| 2 | tablespoons butter |
| ½ | teaspoon cinnamon |
| 3 | Tablespoons flour |
| ¼ | cup chopped toasted walnuts, |
| pecans or old fashioned oatmeal | |
| Cake: | |
| 1 | cup flour |
| ⅓ | cup sugar |
| ½ | teaspoon baking powder |
| ¼ | teaspoon baking soda |
| dash salt | |
| 1 | egg, beaten well |
| ½ | cup applesauce |
| ¼ | cup oil |
| ½ | teaspoon vanilla |
Mix all topping ingredienta together by rubbing with fingers, set aside.
In a large bowl, mix your flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, mix together your egg, applesauce, oil, and vanilla.
Mix it well.
Add applesauce mixture to flour mixture, stir till wet. Put in the prepared pan. Sprinkle topping over batter.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
