Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 box (15.25 oz.) chocolate cake mix
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, melted and cooled + additional for garnish
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbs milk
  • Tools:
  • 12 Cavity Delectovals Mini Cake Pan Cavity
  • large bowl
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Toothpick
  • Cooling Grid
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Bismarck Tip #230

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F. Prepare Delectovals Pan with vegetable pan spray.

In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs on low speed 30 seconds. Stop mixer, scrape down bottom and sides of bowl.
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed.
Fill pan cavities 1/2 full with batter; smooth the tops

Bake 15-17 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cakes comes out clean. Cool in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool completely.

In large bowl, beat melted chocolate, butter and sugar until well combined, scraping down bottom and sides of bowl as necessary.
Add vanilla and milk; beat until light and fluffy.
Using Bismarck Tip #230, pipe filling into the bottom of Delectovals in 3 spots.


Decorating Options:
After drizzling with chocolate, immediately sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
Cover half of Delectoval with a layer of Wilton Vanilla Treat Glaze.
Let set, about 5 minutes. Drizzle with Wilton Chocolate Treat Glaze and immediately sprinkle with mini chocolate chips
