I’m all about unique dippers, too. Sure, fruit, marshmallows, pretzels, and pound cake are all worthy of dunking, but I encourage testing the waters with other skewer-able, bite-sized foods. For this occasion, I made cream cheese swirl brownies with a hint of mint and little muffin bites containing bananas, peanut butter, pecans, and chocolate.
While the mint brownies might only be appropriate for chocolate or mocha fondue (the combination of mint and caramel just doesn’t seem right to me), you could easily leave out the mint extract and solve that little problem. The miniature muffins would taste great smothered in any kind of dessert fondue, even (especially?) peanut butter!
Use your imagination and go wild! Fondue is generally super easy to prepare, so you’ll have plenty of extra time to bake off some tasty dippers.
