Butternut squash gnocchis

I’m trying to eat more healthy and I think that Food Day is a great way to promote our great food with all the great ingredients we have. We must use in-season vegetables. More than ever, I go to the market or directly to the farms near my home to buy the elements I need to cook with. Usually I start my day with this moment and I try to speak with the people that own the farm. It’s great to take the time with them and I’ve become friends with some of them.

Buying directly from them is one of the best ways to put our hands on fresh vegetables and to know where they come from. Here in Quebec City, I love to go to the farm Compte de Roussy. It’s one of the oldest farms– the eleventh generation manages it. I can tell you that there is a lot of history behind that farm.

My recipe for Food Day is something that will take you some time to make but I’m sure you’ll like the result. I really love gnocchis and this version with butternut squash is really nice. It’s easier than the classic gnocchis and the sweetness of the butternut adds a great taste.
