Everyone Loves Nog – Even Vegans!

Luckily this year there are more nogs for vegans and people with dairy allergies than ever before. You don’t have to use dairy to make a creamy drink. And you don’t have to break any eggs to make these nogs.
This year the vegan nog players are the original Silk soy nog, a new soy nog from Earth Balance, a version made of rice from Rice Dream and another non-soy version made by So Delicious using the coconuts that they are famous for.
The rice version is the thinnest, followed by Silk, then Earth Balance, with the So Delicious coconut nog being extra thick. They are all great with each one having its own unique blend of spices.
Back in the old days if you were allergic to soy and a vegan you were just out of luck. But today almost everyone can have a nog to call their own.
I’m enjoying my nog this year in a nog-tini. It’s great plain if you don’t imbibe, but if you do make sure to try this spiced, creamy drink with hints of vanilla and almond. After all, you won’t find nog on the shelves after the holidays.
